Let these Holy Scriptures inspire, guide, and empower you through the right and humble path.

“But seek ye First the Kingdom of God, and His Righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” – Matthew 6:33

Growing up, my parents and grandparents used to tell me to study hard cause it will be the source of my success. And I bet maybe most of the youth and the young adults, the “Joshua Generation” as we call it, were taught the same way too. There’s nothing wrong with that. But along the pathway of the mountain of success, we tend to get too high that we overlook the source of it all.

Since the beginning, God already “knew” you. Who else could know you better than the God of all Wisdom? The Bible says, before He formed us in our mother’s womb He knew us (Jeremiah 1:5). Just like the perfect recipe, when He formed me or you in the womb of our mothers, He knew what ingredients to put together (Psalm 139:13-14). The keyword here is “knew”, as in the past tense of know. He already knew what ideas you should have, what emotions, what IQ or EQ you should have because He is the God who knows. But ironically, when we almost reach the top of the mountain, we become proud of ourselves. In short, Pride comes in. We tend to forget the “true source” of our success. But when we fail we blame others, the devil, ourselves, or most of the times God. The point is, we only remember God when we fail.

As a way to help, God opens and closes doors. He helps us realize that our Pride is the reason we fall. “Are you saying God is punishing us?” No, God doesn’t punish, rather He protects us. He knows that our definition of wisdom is nothing compared to the Wisdom of the one who created the whole Universe and the Heavens (1 Corinthians 1:25). In short terms, He knows we will always fail. He’s asking us to build a better foundation for our success. And the only way to do this is by seeking Him and His righteousness first. Because when we know who the “True source” of all knowledge, wisdom, and success, and make Him the priority of our lives, progress and prosperity will follow.
